Chiro (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has a short history in Shanghai; however we have an outstanding track record in food business in the past.

The present owner was the founder of Faber Supermarket Pte Ltd in which was established in 1975 as a small supermarket in Singapore, and later led to the establishment of Fabian Trading Pte Ltd., Chiro (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd , and other branches in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Brunei, and China of which operate an extensive international distribution network of wholesalers, retailers, and food services for over 20 years in the South East Asia regions.

While moving to Shanghai, Mr. Bernard Tay, our Chiarman, found that there are needs for western food and beverage as well as delicacies from South East Asia. "Pines The Market Place" was set up in Shanghai during the 1st quarter of 2003 to bring the home shopping away from home for the expats living in Shanghai.

Other than Supermarkets, Chrio (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., as the holding company of the group, is moving into food importing and wholesaling in China. In our forwarding plans, a Bristro & Grill restaurant and a chains of fusion cuisines where East meets West will be opening in the future.
